Shiseido has always been my go-to for face and body
sunscreens. They make a variety of
sunscreens that are available in different forms
(lotions, creams, sprays, and sticks).
Shiseido’s description of the sunscreen: An oil-free daily
protector with UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum Protection. Protects against 3 major causes of skin cell
damage: UV Rays, oxidation and over production of sebum. This ultra light formulation spreads smoothly
and contains mineral powders and herbal extracts to maintain a pore-free and
shine-free finish.
Background: I have very oily skin in the warmer months and
combination skin in the cooler months.
I had been using the Shiseido Extra Smooth Sun Protection
Lotion SPF 38 PA ++ (for face and body) for a few years prior to using this
sunscreen. While I love the Extra Smooth
Sun Protection Lotion, I jumped at the chance to try out an oil free sunscreen
by Shiseido. I have had no desire to try out other sunscreens once I started using this one. I still use the Extra Smooth Sun Protection for my body.
Pros:
- The texture of this sunscreen is light and watery. It is thin enough to be worn daily under my makeup.
- The formula is fast drying and leaves your face matte.
- It does not leave a white cast on my face.
- It’s easy to remove and doesn’t leave residue on my face.
Cons:
- Cost: $32 for 1 ounce
